Small Business & University Tech Transition Program

The goal of ISS’ Small Business & University Technology Transition Program is to create business opportunities for ISS partners through an effectively managed technology transition program. This program is a corporate strategy aimed at addressing one of the greatest challenges to U.S. Government research and development (R&D) spending: transitioning innovative technologies into operational use.

Our R&D transition strategy, called the Technology Transition Bridge™, actively builds transition-focused partners and customers. Our key objective is to build a pathway to operational use for promising technologies by targeting customer needs within the scope of ISS programs and operational systems. We help to improve partner research by focusing on operational ISS products early in the R&D process, thereby designing solutions that meet customer requirements.

By building the Technology Transition Bridge™ together, we greatly improve the probability that everyone “wins”: customers, partners, and ISS.
