ISS has given me the chance to personally assist with Mission of Enduring Freedom through testing and releasing the latest version of our software; it also gave me the opportunity to travel to the other side of the world and experience new things and meet people from other cultures.
The most rewarding thing about working at ISS is that rather than just being another person writing software, I actually get to play a major role in solving some of the most technically challenging problems that anyone in our industry encounters. Knowing that I’m working on projects that ‘matter’ is very fulfilling.
ISS promotes growth in my professional career. As a software test engineer, I expressed interest to travel and they found an opportunity for me to travel. When I had interest to grow in other areas of the company, an opportunity opened for me in the marketing department where I continue to learn and grow.
I’ve gotten to work on several cutting edge products and get to sit back and realize how amazing this technology is. The people I work with are some of the best and brightest in this industry and I am grateful to constantly stretch myself alongside them.
I’ve been at ISS for over 10 years and it has grown 15 times the size of when I started. I’m amazed that I still learn something new every day. My colleagues make it fun to come in to work every day.
Time flies by at work! I am excited to come in everyday and tackle the ever changing challenges of a fun, growing company doing great things for our warfighters!… We are truly empowered to use our good judgment to get the job done!
When applying for this job, I saw in passing a guy wearing shorts, sandals, and a Pink Floyd shirt. Once I finished up with the interview, I knew this was the place for me. These are some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with and it’s amazing to rub elbows with coworkers creating cutting edge software.
I am very pleased with the flexibility to fulfill my ISS and military duties as an active reserve member. ISS is a tight-knit company with impressive corporate leaders who know you by name.
Are you technical, creative, managerial or all of the above? Do you think out of the box or would you prefer to build your own? If so, ISS just might be the right place for you.
