NTI WebTAS

WebTAS for NTI (Web-based Temporal Analysis System for National-to-Tactical Integration) is quickly becoming a cornerstone of the Air Force’s effort to empower analysts with tools that allow them to quickly make sense of large volumes of disparate data and provide value added intelligence to both collectors and warfighters. WebTAS for NTI delivers a net-centric, system of systems architecture that is capable of ingesting virtually any database or service with little or no additional development. What this means for the user is that this capability remains relevant regardless of changes in mission, priorities or sources of information.

All of this data is combined to provide a complete picture for analysts that can be viewed in a number of different mediums including maps, timelines, histogrids, graphs, charts, tables and link analysis diagrams. WebTAS for NTI goes beyond simply presenting the data to the user by providing a wide array of tools to help the user make sense of it. These include display synchronization, temporal filtering, clustering, entity extraction, alerting, event modeling and a fused track capability that allows analysts to group disparate pieces of data together as a single moving entity based on conclusions from their ongoing analysis. This information can be shared seamlessly via a robust collaborative framework that provides analysts a forum for sharing their thoughts and their work with their peers in real-time.

WebTAS for NTI has successfully transitioned from a research and development effort to a fielded operational capability. It has been identified as a centerpiece of the technology suite being embedded in the Air Force’s new DCGS Analysis and Reporting Team cells at each Distributed Ground Station around the globe. It’s currently fielded at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center in Dayton, OH in addition to the DGSs in Hampton, VA, Honolulu, HI, Marysville, CA and Ramstein, Germany. It’s scheduled to be deployed to the DGS in Osan, Korea later this year.

ISS is already hard at work on delivering the next generation capability for this community that will leverage cutting-edge technologies through the web and is designed to provide the same agility and raw analytical power that has become our trademark with a sleeker, more intuitive user experience.
