The Department of Defense Civil Aviation Intelligence Analysis Center (DoD CAIAC) serves as the military focal point for intelligence on foreign civil aviation-related entities associated with illicit activities or posing a threat to the U.S., its allies, or its interests. Intelligent Software Solutions provides the CAIAC with analytical tools and experienced all-source Intelligence Analysts to perform in-depth research and production of timely strategic analysis.

The Civil Aviation Knowledge Base (CAKB) is an accredited, specially customized version of the ISS flagship product WebTAS (Web-enabled Temporal Analysis System), loaded with commercially purchased Aviation industry data, public domain data, classified data from various Intelligence Community partners, and the CAIAC's own analysis. CAIAC analysts leverage the CAKB in a way that uniquely suits their specific slice of the Center's mission, from aircraft route planning to discovery of front companies and illicit shipping.

Use of the CAKB to monitor proliferators, track weapons shipments, and distinguish illicit trafficking has enabled analysts from the Center to directly influence national level policy decisions, inform the National Security Council and State Department, and assist in the identification, interdiction, and capture of illicit cargoes. CAKB automated alerts help analysts to differentiate anomalous events from normal activity, and the visualization tools that ship out-of-the- box with WebTAS allow the analysts to graphically explore and depict raw processed intelligence in maps, timelines, graphs, link charts and animations.

ISS contract all-source analysts and CAKB engineering and database support personnel are fully integrated into the DoD CAIAC team, and function seamlessly with their government colleagues to prosecute this vital mission. From advanced technical know-how to critical analysis and subject matter expertise, ISS personnel provide essential skills and experience to one of the U.S. Governments most unique intelligence organizations.
